Rotary Youth Exchange programs are generally open to enrolled students who are between the ages of 15 and 17 at the date of departure (mid-January in each year) and who have at least one further year to complete in their secondary school studies. Some countries have tighter age limits.
The available countries are listed on the “Who Do We Exchange With” page on this website. While we ask you to nominate your preferred countries, there is no guarantee that you will get your first choice
We take a number of factors into account in deciding which country to allocate you. The factors include your age, your language skills and your personality as well as Host country requirements.
